Moving Houses: Couple 'Rightsizing' for $550k are onto a winner
REVIEW: We’re all familiar with the term “downsizing”. It’s what you do once the kids have left home and you no longer need such a big house and section. But in this episode of Moving Houses we learn about “rightsizing”.
What’s the difference? Plenty, say project manager Pat and landscape designer Dani Randles of Wellington, who are planning a move to Carterton.
“I came across the term ‘rightsizing’ in an article and I really liked it,” Dani says. “I always thought sometimes people say ‘we have to downsize’ and it’s got a negative connotation. Whereas I think rightsizing is actually a positive word.”
Where else could you get a new build of this size for $550k? No reno required. A fast build in a factory with no days lost to rain makes good financial sense.
